June 23, 2019 - 9th Annual Keep the Beat Walk for CHD Awareness

This year’s walk will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Endicott Park in Danvers, MA. This 1 or 2 mile or 5K non-competitive Walk will take you through beautiful Endicott Park and Glen Magna Farms and will end with a FREE family fun picnic that will have a raffle, food, and activities for kids of all ages. Some of the raffle prizes from last year include bicycles, an American Girl Doll, tickets and gift cards Kimball Farm, Hugo BookStores, Strawberry Banke, Cowabunga, Water Country, The Mark Twain Museum, the Etiquette Academy, Plimouth Plantation, Target, Peabody Essex Museum, Bonkers, the Boston Duck Tours, the Salem Wax Museum, the Salem Witch Museum, Chuck E Cheese, the Salem Pirate Museum, StoryLand, the House of Seven Gables, Ecotarium, the Concord Museum, the Children's Museum of Easton, Sky Zone, Salem Cinemas, The Butterfly Place, New Bedford Whaling Museum, Connecticut Science Center, Lowell Spinners, Dairy Queen, and more!! We will update the site as this year's prizes are added. Some of our activities in the past include balloon art by Shaun Hanafin and Jonah Faigel, a FIRE TRUCK, a caricature artist from Boston Caricatures, face painting by the amazing Judianne Gillis and Clover, a live animal show by Curious Creatures, Dave & Buster's Street Team, Launch, Methuen's Street Team, a drumming circle by All Hands Drumming, and amazing chair massages!!! Our picnic lunch in 2019 will include fresh fruit, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and cupcakes, as well as juice and water.

2019 Schedule:
9:30a - Onsite registration and lunch bracelet and t-shirt pick-up - Raffle and team picture site is open
10:15a - Pre-Walk Stretches and Heart Hero ceremony begin
~10:45a - Walk begins
12:00pm - Picnic lunch and activities open; Raffle and team picture site is open
12:15pm - Musical performance by Doctor Joy Productions
12:45p - Remembrance ceremony
1:00p - Curious Creatures Animal Show
1:45p - All Hands Drumming Activity
2:30p - Raffle drawing and walk wrap-up

All activities are FREE, but PLEASE REGISTER (Registration won't close until 11:59pm on June 22) so we can order the right amount of food and provide enough activities. Also, if you would like to guarantee an authentic 9th Annual KTB Walk t-shirt, you MUST register and donate or fundraise at least $25 by June 5, 2019. A limited number of shirts will be available on Walk day!
* All CHD heroes will receive a free Walk shirt, as well as a special event medal.

HAPPENING AGAIN IN 2019: All teams that raise $1,000 or more will guarantee shirts for their ENTIRE registered team!!
